This point-to-point, seven-mile trail race starts at Marine Park in south Bellingham and finishes at Larrabee State Park, the oldest state park in Washington. The course follows the legendary Interurban Trail, which threads through the Chuckanut Mountains and features gorgeous views of Chuckanut Bay and the San Juan Islands. View the course map here. Busses will take runners back to the finish line and will leave with regularity.

The finish-line party at Larrabee State Park will include live music, food, and drink. Age-group awards will be given, three deep in each five-year category. Top three male and female finishers will also be recognized.

Course Distances:
Iron Person & Teams – The course consists of a 1/3-mile swim, 14.8-mile bike course and a 4-mile run.

 Youth Triathlon : Includes a 100-yard swim, 1.5-mile bike and ½-mile run course. Flotation devices are allowed. Parents are encouraged to participate with youth to cheer them on along the way.

Welcome to West Seattle Float Dodger 5K, Seattle’s newest summer running tradition!

Imagine running down California Ave SW, a main drag usually reserved for cars. Imagine being cheered by thousands of people, the entire length of the run. Imagine trying to outrun spectacular parade floats of the West Seattle Summer Parade. All of this can be yours at the West Seattle Float Dodger 5K.   

This year’s race is dedicated to Andrea Boag, a dear friend of Tim and Lori, owners of West Seattle Runner. On June 10th, she passed away, ending a long battle with cancer. The rides are awesome. You get to see everything: Mt Baker, Lake Whatcom, valleys, rivers, lush farmland, beaches and Puget Sound all in one fairly level ride.
