Rooted in Cascadia, Adventures NW has been the region’s leading source of outdoors information – and inspiration – since 2006. Our quarterly full-color magazine is published in March, June, September and December.
Our passion is connecting our readers to the outdoors in substantive – and compelling – ways. Topics include hiking, climbing, running, cycling, paddling, sailing, skiing, snowshoeing and countless other ways that people experience adventure in our remarkable corner of the world.
We publish narratives, essays, guides, historical pieces, reviews, interviews, and more. Generally speaking, content in Adventures NW is focused on the Cascadia region (Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia) but we occasionally feature stories from more far-flung locations. Typically writers are expected to provide high resolution photographs that illustrate their stories. Photographs should be of professional caliber and must demonstrate excellence with respect to composition, etc.
All articles are on spec, accepted query or not; unsolicited material is not guaranteed to run. Pay for published pieces will be dependent on length, quality, originality, amount of editing required, and writer tenure with Adventures NW. Materials cannot be returned. We strive to pay within 30 days of publishing.
If interested in contributing to Adventures NW, send a detailed query/proposal (topic, length, sample of your writing and/or images) to editor@adventuresnw.com.
Hello,
I have quite a few Pacific Northwest photos that I have taken over the last few years. If desired, I would like to share them with Adventure NW. Just let me know!
Cheers,
Ross
